Captain O'Haire's rustic sea cottage awaits you!
His legendary naval career seems to emanate from the walls of this beautiful, historic home.
Cozy and elegant, sublime and rustic. With all the DETAILS!
Captain O'Haire welcomes you into his home with a warm smile.
This Summertime to RELAX 2nd house from Ocean. Super private and steps from the sand.

Accommodations:
Two bedrooms sleeps a total of 6.
Lodgings:
Queen sized bed in the Captain's quarters sleeps two, twin beds for the shipmates sleeps two, and a pull out sofa for the stowaways sleeps an additional two.
Galley ("kitchen" in landlubber talk) new fridge, oven and countertop. New dishware. Brand new Speedqueen washing machine and dryer.

Central Air Conditioning throughout all rooms.


Aye, Aye! Captain's orders. Relax! Chill!
Enjoy the breeze, sun and sand! Spend all day and night on the couch not thinking about work. The Captain himself doesn't care too much for the sun, but a deep sleep with the cool breeze from the ocean is his cup o' tea. You will have the most restful sleep here. Zen.
Here at the Captain's Quarter's you can rejuvenate and create lasting loving memories with your family and closest friends.


This two bedroom has a joined kitchen and living room for easy entertaining. Washer and Dryer is shared with upstairs unit. Dining area/ desk space is in shared space as laundry, which makes for interesting social interactions with upstairs neighbors! Cozy. Or perhaps Al fresco dining? There is also plenty of outside dining seating, 2 picnic tables under an illuminated tent. BBQ and Party! There are many great local restaurants and shops within walking distance. Microwave and conventional Oven, and an outdoor grill for easy cooking. Just renovated in 2022, all new and fresh! A very photogenic and bright upgrade, great backdrop for all those vacation selfies. Fireplace is decorative and non- functional.

No outdoor footwear in the house! Captain's orders!


We are pet friendly with prior approval to your stay. Please submit photo and video of Pet. NO DOGS OVER 30 POUNDS. NO large, predatory prone / hunting DOGS allowed. I don't care how sweet your 45- 60 pound Golden Retriever/ Black Lab or whatever is. Don't even ask... your inquiry will be ignored.

Upon approval of pet, there will be an additional fee (per pet) for cleaning. All dogs MUST be leashed on this property at all times.

Parking for downstairs unit is in FRONT of the house.

Check in after 4PM Saturday and check out by 10 AM on the following Saturday.

Great stay at incredible location

What a great stay we had - location couldn’t be better - literally second house from the beautiful beach. The kids loved going back and forth with such a short walk! Also close to the great restaurants and shops of Surf City. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed sitting in front at the end of the day to unwind. The house has lots of personal touches and kitchen appliances updated and clean. We hope to be back next summer!

A great rental!

We had a terrific stay at this rental. Adorable and super close to the beach and many of Surf City’s best shops and restaurants. A.C. works great and the house is very comfortable. Lots of good kitchen tools to boot! Highly recommend.

Great Location in Surf City!

This is a perfect spot for beach and animal lovers! Just steps from the sand and pet friendly! Owner is very nice and extremely accommodating! We’ve stayed here twice and the owner continues to make improvements on the property. Definitely reminiscent of days on LBI as a kid.

Fantastic Home!

I've been coming here for years, and this home is quintessential Long Beach Island. Absolutely stunning home, fantastic owners and just a few steps from the beach. I'll be back next summer, and the next! Very clean as well.
