Description
A spacious 100-year old two-story house recently renovated with new hardwood floors, modern kitchen and appliances and offering plenty of light. Open concept first floor with oversize island for everybody to participate during family cooking. Multiple sliding doors on both floors provide refreshing evening ocean breezes. Enjoy family gatherings in the large back deck with DCS grill connected directly to the gas supply and a large outdoor dining table. Space for everyone including multiple outdoor sitting areas in every floor. This is one of the most desirables blocks given the proximity to the ocean and the traditional happy hours by the bay, both few steps away. The house is undergoing exterior renovation with natural cedar singles.

We strongly encourage RENTER to purchase Travel Insurance along with their reservation. A ‘Cancel for any Reason’ Travel Insurance Policy protects the RENTER’S investment in the event of unexpected and catastrophic events.
A 50% deposit is due within 7 days of making your reservation. The remaining 50% and security deposit will be due 45 days prior to arrival.

Nantucket in LBI
Location Location Location.
Ideal to stay a beach & let Tweens walk back & forth.
Pix don't do it just. Every inch & corner had something great to find & wow about. Whimsical. Kids bunk room was tight, but they didn't care, bunks always fun on vacation. If you love to cook/ grill this house is ready. I didn't need to bring anything, and was tempted to leave with a pan or 2... easy walk to all the basics( breakfast/ lunch/mini golf/ice-cream) Just what LBI used to be about....

Great Cottage
The cottage was ideally set only two houses from the beach. It was clean and very nicely appointed. We loved the decor and the kitchen has a huge, very functional island. Two of the upstairs bedrooms are open to large patios. We were there early in the season, and we had practically a private beach. My favorite feature was the outside shower. It is spartan, but it had hot water, and it was so enjoyable after coming off the beach. Sandra was great. She was responsive to all of our questions and needs. I would definitely recommend "44 Steps."

Highly recommend!
My family stayed at 44 steps for a week in late May/early June. The house was wonderful - the kitchen and bathrooms were brand new and we loved the overall feel and decor. The location was amazing, it is just a couple houses from the beach. There is also a bakery around the corner where we got breakfast and lunch almost every day. We had previously stayed in other areas on LBI but Ship Bottom was great because it was easy to get everywhere on the island as well as do a few day trips off LBI. Sandra was extremely responsive as well.

Loved 44 Steps
Hi Sandra, my family and I had a great week at your house this past week.
Can't beat the location and it's so nice to stay in a "home" not a rental.
Believe it or not, it's rare to rent a house that has knives that cut, cutting boards, usable cookware, and a great grill.
I always bring my chef's knife and large cutting board anyway, but it's nice that I didn't need them! The stainless steel commercial pans were awesome to use.
We loved the wall decor and overall vibe of the house. The only thing missing is an indoor dining table, but thats a trade off I'll take any day.
All in all, it was one of the best rental properties we've stayed in anywhere, so thank you very much.

Great location & accommodations for entire family.
Great location, spacious and cozy for entire family, dog friendly. On arrival welcomed with local LBI coffee perfect for watching sunrise on beach or relaxing on one of the inviting outdoor spaces and decks. Definitely booking next year. Thanks Sandra and Steve!
