Description
40 North 3rd Street is a sunny contemporary single-family home on the beach block. No streets to cross to get to the beach! Our house is within easy walking distance of all Surf City’s shops, restaurants and mini golf courses. We have central air conditioning, a great gas grill (no more running out of propane just before dinner) and a garage level clubhouse for the kids.
The spacious first floor deck will provide you with ample space for outdoor family dinners. The kitchen and the grill are on the same level so getting the fish and the corn to the table at the same time is easy.
The sun-soaked living area features an open floor plan, vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors. Enjoy the game on our large screen TV or stream a movie (for you old-schoolers we have a blu-ray hooked up and a good collection of kid friendly DVDs). Stay connected with our high-speed Internet service. Or listen to music from your smart phone through our Bluetooth speakers.
Our upgraded kitchen has stainless steel appliances and a center island with breakfast bar. The hallway pantry will provide you with additional space for food storage.
Indoor dining for 8 (plus 2 at the breakfast bar) completes the living area.
On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms, each with lots of closet space, and a full hall bath. Our “Godzilla Room” features a colorful Japanese print of the sea monster and has plenty of space for 2 kids in the bunk beds.
Our “Blue Fish Room” features a pyramid bunk bed, which sleeps 3 comfortably.
The third bedroom on the first floor has a queen bed and flat screen TV, perfect for rest and relaxation after a long day at the beach.
The hall bathroom includes a shower with tub. The washer and dryer are conveniently tucked away here.
The enormous and private master suite occupies the entire second floor with queen bed, flat screen TV, walk-in closet, plenty of comfortable furnishings, large bathroom with tub and shower. Slider doors open on to the second floor deck that is perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails.
Enjoy a glorious sunrise or sunset from our rooftop sky-deck with panoramic views of Surf City and the Atlantic Ocean. If you’re a night owl, explore the Milky Way and maybe catch a falling star.
If you are in the mood for a rousing game of ping pong or Nok Hockey, or a quiet game of cards or Monopoly, head down to our clubhouse at the back of the garage.
After a long day at the beach enjoy a luxurious shower in our outside shower furnished with eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner and body wash. It’s just the thing to re-invigorate the mind and body for a fun evening LBI-style: fresh and local fish grilling, mini-golf playing and giant ice cream cone eating. And then settle down for a peaceful night’s sleep so you can wake up refreshed the next morning to do it all again!

Policies
We strongly encourage RENTER to purchase Travel Insurance along with their reservation. A ‘Cancel for any Reason’ Travel Insurance Policy protects the RENTER’S investment in the event of unexpected and catastrophic events.
A 50% deposit is due within 7 days of making your reservation. The remaining 50% and security deposit will be due 45 days prior to arrival.

Beach Block
To start Doug and Liza made the entire experience/process stress free. Plenty of instructions and labels on items. We have never been on a beach block before…it is so worth it. Nice and quiet, easy walk to beach. 3rd St is our favorite location in Surf City. Can walk to any restaurant, mini golf, ice cream, etc. The Anchor Grocery Market has everything you may need. The 5 & 10 store too.
Again, Doug and Liza were a pleasure to work with. Can wait til next year!

Beautiful home!
We had a wonderful week at this home in Surf City. The pictures don’t do the house justice. It’s beautiful and very clean. The homeowners thought of everything, the house is very well stocked. The street is quiet and my son could ride his bike without many cars driving by. The house is in a great location, very walkable to restaurants, ice cream, and mini golf. Try ScoJo’s and Playa Bowls when you go. It was great being so close to the beach especially with kids. We will definitely rent again.

Great location for a relaxing vacation!
Booked this house based on the great reviews and had to leave one as well! We loved our stay! The location of the home is perfect for a quick walk to the beach, coffee, food and ice cream (and we had lots of ice cream! haha) The layout of the home was fantastic as well, with the amazing outdoor spaces and big open kitchen/dining/living room space as well.
Doug & Liza were also incredibly communicative prior to our arrival, even replying quickly to my last minute questions I had when packing. Highly recommend!

Amazing Vacation Home
We rented this home for our family vacation. Our daughter her husband and two children as well as our son and his girlfriend spent the week. Everything about the house was perfect for us. Doug and Liza have thought of every detail. The house has every amenity you could imagine and then some. The views and sunsets from the upper decks are a great way to wrap up your day with a drink. Super clean with great furnishings. I will definitely rent again.

Amazing week!
We love this home and it's location. We had such a terrific week, thanks to our hosts Liza & Doug. The home is clean and "has it all"! Game room was a huge hit with our three kids (11, 13 & 15). We never even used the inside shower (we love the outside showers while at the beach). We spent every evening on the upper decks enjoying the breeze and awesome sunsets. The location is just perfect, close to everything, food, 5 & 10, my son's favorite tackle shop, mini golf and of course, plenty of places to get an evening treat. We have rented on LBI for the last 10 years and this location is by far our favorite!

A vacation to remember!
As soon as I walked into this gorgeous house I knew our vacation would be amazing!! We loved how the house was decorated and the outdoor living was perfect especially the second floor deck for happy hour and a sunset! This house is spotless and has every amenity you can think of. We loved the fact that we were on a beach block. My kids loved the outdoor shower and the game room. The location of this house is perfect you are so close to shopping, restaurants, mini golf, you name it! We did not want out trip to end. I would book this house every year it is that perfect!!!

A Great Week!
We took our girls and joined our good friends down in Surf City for some summer beach time, and it was worth it! Doug and Liza have a wonderful home, it’s very well kept with nice amenities....and the location is fantastic. They were very responsive to our inquiries and we’d definitely make a return trip to stay here.

Great house, great location!
My family and I just got back from a week at Doug and Liza’s house in Surf City. We had a wonderful time. Doug and Liza were very helpful and accessible prior to our arrival. We’ve rented other homes in LBI before and really appreciated the attention to detail this time around. The house is well maintained and was the perfect size for our group (grandparents, two sets of parents, and three grandchildren). The proximity to the beach and amenities in Surf City can’t be beat. We highly recommend this rental!

Spectacular MDW!
I recently returned home from a spectacular Surf City Memorial Day Week! Doug and Liza's house is a perfect size for a week at the beach, not too big or too small. All of the bedrooms are well appointed with comfortable beds. The kitchen has everything one could need to prepare a meal and the living area is quite comfortable. The ground floor Club House was a godsend for the teen boys in our group and made the house seem extremely roomy! The location is quite central to Surf City with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend this home and will definitely be returning in the future!

This is an amazing home
You definitely won't be disappointed in renting this beautiful home. Doug and Liza did everything possible to ensure our stay was memorable. We celebrated a Special Occasion with our family during our stay and I couldn't ask for a better place to celebrate. The home is meticulous. The location is central to dining and shopping and the Beach is very close. Historically, our family had split our vacations between Ocean City, Maryland and LBI but after our recent stay my granddaughters are no longer interested in Ocean City and they asked us to take them back to Doug and Lisa's home in LBI.
