At the shore, but on the peaceful Manahawkin Lake life slows down just a bit. This gorgeous lake front home in Deer Lake Park is just minutes from the beaches, restaurants and fun on LBI. The home has 4 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths and sleeps 12. Avoid the summer traffic by renting this Friday to Friday rental. The home sits right on the lake with a nice patio area for relaxing after a fun day on the lake. There is a hot tub with a lake view. This home has a kayak and paddle board. Included are 8 beach badges for your use.

Needs attention but could be a great lake house.

Spent 2 weeks here in August 2022. We loved the inside although we had to fix and clean minor things. Overall , the house and grounds just needs attention/someone to check for and rectify issues vs having new renters handle it.

While I’m very thankful to have found a beautiful partially renovated rental with owners kind enough to allow pets, I had more issues then I should have to experience a true lake house vacation Especially for the price I paid. the exterior/grounds and the water sports equipment was actually unsafe. the outdoor deck and hot tub area lacks light /was pitch dark even with the dock lights on and several of us repeatedly almost fell because you can’t see the step or the steep drop by the hot tub. I had to go and buy outdoors lights to help us see at night. Their lake sports items were so rusted and not well maintained that we all found them to be unsafe and so we didn’t even touch them. Also, the lake had way too much scum by the dock that no one wanted to even put their toes in it let alone their feet or bodies. Theres was practically no sun the entire 2 weeks on both decks solely due to the overgrowth of trees to the point that cushions and even parts of the trees and bushes were rotting from mold/mildew. I had to go buy new cushions due to the amount of dirt and mildew on them. Same with the tiki lights. They were so old and rusted / unusable that we had to go buy new ones and replace them all. Also, all the views of the lake were mostly obstructed, even the top deck ones due to overgrown trees and shrubbery. If you walk along the street you’ll see how other homes maintain a lake house view. You could barely see the lake no matter where you sat especially while on bottom deck. There was major home construction going on 2 houses down. It was beyond loud and shakey we could hear it from inside with all doors and windows closed. It did not make for a quiet and peaceful vacation especially when outdoors. It’s bad enough the front yard is a direct small distance to the major highway that you hear cars/trucks all day and even night. While construction isn’t their fault , if I had known this was going on I would not have vacationed here as it was a major noise issue and I rented this house for a peaceful lake house get away.

I was more then willing to help fix what I could out but for the amount I paid , the money I saved them by not having a cleaning crew between weeks , the safety issues and the lack of a true “lake house “ experience, I feel I should be partially refunded. I emailed the realtor and am waiting to hear back.
