A Spray Beach vacation rental is a great choice for folks who want to be close to the action, but not right on top of it. This tiny neighborhood on gorgeous Long Beach Island, is part of Long Beach Township, but it has its own feel.

Spray Beach is located just a few blocks from Beach Haven, the hub of activity on Long Beach Island’s south end with Fantasy Island, Thundering Surf, and favorite restaurants ranging from upscale at The Gables to the straight up fun of the Chicken or the Egg. Shop Bay Village or Schooner’s Wharf or dance late into the night at the Seashell and the Marlin.

Or enjoy Spray Beach itself, a classic blend of nostalgic and contemporary. The beaches here are some of the finest in the state for swimming and sun worshipping. Kids are entertained for hours, searching for sand crabs or bodysurfing the rolling waves. Surfing, kayaking, and stand up paddling (SUP) are allowed anywhere outside the swimming area flags.

The Beach Haven Fishery is a nod to the historic pound fishing operations here and today is a jumping seafood take out spot.

This is home to LBI’s only vegetarian eatery, Living On the Veg, but you can be an omnivore and still enjoy the amazing healthy sandwiches, smoothies and wraps. Or head up to the bar, lounge, and beach hut at the Spray Beach Hotel, just steps from the sand.
