2019 summer rentals discounted pre-season weekly rates $2,500 to $4,500 per week. For your convenience, we accept credit card payments. Effective October 1, 2018, we are required to collect NJ State sales tax and occupancy fees of 11.625% in addition to the rental fee (appears as an "add on" charge). Reservations are made on a first come basis, and are locked in by receipt of your rental fee.

After September 12th, we do accept Fall getaway weekends -- 2 night special rate of $400/night + cleaning fee.

Come stay with us at our newly remodeled beachcomber home just steps from the beach across from the historic Coast Guard Building on East 7th Street! Enjoy a ride to the beach on the Barnegat Light beach trolley. We are in the very private/secluded section of LBI, only 1 1/2 blocks from the northernmost tip of Long Beach Island, a short walk to the lighthouse and the Viking's Village. Dine at the waterfront, or at the prestigious Plantation Restaurant in Harvey Cedars, or walk 1 block to Mustache Bill's Diner, Poppy's ice cream, or 2 blocks to Kubel's. Ample off-street parking.
Peek at our two spacious decks through portholes. Enjoy fine new leather furniture in the main living area with a 42"HD flat panel LG cable TV with stereo surround sound. Wi-Fi high speed internet access available. Our spacious dining room sits a family of eight in comfort. Or grill outside, dine on the picnic table, enjoy the ocean breezes on the decks or in the screened in porch. Relax in our tree lined private backyard with gardens, read a book or take a nap while relaxing in the oversized hammock under the shade trees.
Other amenities include 65" HD TV in playroom with cable and PlayStation 2 (game controller, guitar hero & 2 guitars), 32" HD TV in upstairs twin bedroom, state-of-the-art stereo, fully equipped modern kitchen, gas log fireplace, spiral stairs lead down to separate children's quarters, play room, washer/dryer, outside shower with hot & cold water. Beach toys, beach chairs, coolers, beach tags included. Extra wide outside stairs with railings provide easy safe access for seniors. Children and surfers welcome, sorry--no pets.
Why carry your beach chairs, coolers, beach toys, umbrellas, etc.... Take a ride on the Barnegat Light Beach Tram to and from our life guarded beach. Simply walk 4 houses to the end of our street, walk over the dune and sit at the park bench. The tram stops approximately every 10 minutes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (does not run from 1 to 2 p.m when the driver has lunch). Load up the kids and your beach goodies and have a fun ride -- just like going on a hay ride and it's free! When you want to return to the house from the beach, simply wait at the park benches at the beach, the Barnegat Light Beach Tram will take you back to 7th Street.
Cancellation Policy: In the event that a tenant wishes to cancel this lease, he/she will make their request in writing to owner. This agreement shall be terminated only after another tenant is secured at the same lease amount. A service fee of 10% of the lease rental price and any processing fees will always be deducted from the deposit before it is returned. If a tenant cannot be secured for the same lease amount, it may be necessary to secure a tenant for a lesser amount. Should this happen you will be responsible for any monetary differences in the lease amounts. If a tenant cannot be secured for the lease period, the owner may elect to use the property themselves or offer the property to family, friends, etc. Should this happen, you will be relieved of any balances due and owing. However, your deposit money will not be refunded by the owner. If the property is not re-rented or if the tenant cancels the day of “check in”, or is a “no show”, the tenant will be 100% responsible for the rent amount due as per the lease agreement.

Jim thought of everything with this house. In fact, I brought much more than I needed. Beach chairs, mats, toys —everything was right there and in great shape. My husband particularly appreciated how everything was labeled (caninets and light switches) and the directions for the electronics were clear and concise. He had an uncle who was a sea captain who went to similar lengths. I loved the Bluetooth stereo!! And the kids had more cable channels than they knew what to do with! The location was just what we were looking for — private, quiet, and right near the beach. Swimming, sunrises, and sunsets were all right there, as was Old Barney. A trolley ride brought us to all of the nightlife that Beachhaven had to offer. The kids enjoyed ice cream at Poppys and the short walk to the lighthouse — either by land or by jetty. And 2019 promises one pretty awesome mini golf course. In short, it was everything we wanted and more. Thanks Jim!

The property was very nice. Everything was clean and functioning properly. We have stayed in other, more expensive properties in LBI and this was at par if not better then the more expensive ones. Everything was functional. It was very quiet. It is conveniently located. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

The house was clean, cozy, and in an excellent location. We walked to super-fun restaurants, shops, and other attractions. The beach was beautiful and very peaceful, and we enjoyed being able either to take tractor-wagon to the beach or walk through a beautiful little lot of dense vegetation filled with birds and flowers. Would absolutely recommend it!

All 9 of us had the time of our lives on vacation in Barnegate. Our rental home was comfortable for all of us to have our own space both inside and out. New to us was the sand tractor shuttle, what fun and a new adventure. The owner of this home provided us with so many extras that we did not have to bring along like great beach chairs, boogies boards, and sand toys. He was a pleasure to work with. Beautiful beach, have fun!

We spent a wonderful week in Barnegat Light. This is a great house for families, and has everything you need. It is close to the beach, and the tractor/shuttle is a fun way to get there. Also, the owner is very professional and was a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend staying!

We had a wonderful week at the beach. We were an extended family coming from across the country, and we were not disappointed. The house has all the amenities one would need at a beach house, including the great pleasure of an outdoor shower (as well as an indoor one!). It was very clean when we arrived, and everything was as promised. The owner is friendly, very responsive, well-organized and a pleasure to interact with. Highly recommended.

First time staying at a house at this end of the island. Very nice. Quiet, less crowds, traffic. Enjoyed walks, runs & bike rides. We hiked through "forest" to beach - was like Cape Cod; can also take beach buggy! Went to diner, How you Brewin & Daymark restaurant. - all good. A couple nice stores. Backyard of this property & both decks great for hanging, reading and enjoying beverages. Not that crazy about spiral staircase inside used outdoor stairs.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The house was perfect for our needs. 2 minutes walk to Poppy's Ice Cream and Mustache Bill's. Beach access was pretty easy, just a few houses down the trolley takes you to the beach. It runs every 15 minutes. There are great beach chairs and coolers at the house. WiFi for the kids's iPads. Kids can ride bikes on the street, there is almost no traffic on it. Owner is responsive to all questions. Highly recommend.

We had not attempted a family vacation since the last child graduated college ten years ago. So we set the date, rented this beach house sight unseen and put out the invite. The house was perfect including the kitchen that had everything we needed, a great grill, easy access to the beach, two stories so the kids coud take naps and not worry about the others in the house. We were vacationing with two toddlers so the optional gates on all the stairs were appreciated as were the guard rails for the beds. Our grand chidren loved the tractor, the ice cream, and the lighthouse where we watched the sunrise most mornings. The adults appreciated the liquor store at the end of the block, the fish market, the local diners and the fabulous deli. The street is quiet and everything you need is within walking distance. Most noteworthy is the owner, he loves his home and it shows.

Cottage is in a great residential, quiet part of Barnegat Light. Lots of space inside much better than the pictures even the pictures imply. Extras to borrow while at the house are wonderful! (beach chairs, umbrellas, crab boxes, coolers, etc.) Owner is extremely nice and is quick to follow up if you have any questions or concerns. Would stay again.
