Welcome to our home in wonderful, quiet and family-friendly Holgate! Enjoy gorgeous bay views from inside and from the 1st and 2nd floor decks (where you can also spy the ocean since it's only 1 block away)! 6 beach badges included in your rental. All new mattresses and carpets (perfect for babies and crawlers) and almost all new furniture. Can you say super clean?
Modern, all-white kitchen has generous seating options inside and out with a large kitchen table, ample bar stools plus dining/seating on the upper deck. All of the kitchen appliances and cooking items are new as of 2018 along with the deck furniture and outdoor grill. Our open plan/reverse living home features the kitchen/LR/Powder Room/Primary Suite with a king bed on the upper floor. Lots of communal space for multi-family groups who need to spread out is available both upstairs and in the secondary TV room downstairs.
The 1st floor consists of 4 BRs: one with 2 sets of twin bunks; 2 rooms with 2 twin beds each; 1 "junior primary" queen bed. Two full baths (one tub, one shower) plus a TV room with sliding doors to the 1st floor deck where you can enjoy that awesome bay and park view. The pictures of the TV/living room on this floor do not do it justice--it's open, airy and sunny and just what you'll need when you and your kids (or grandma/grandpa) need some "quiet time" away from one another after a long day at the beach or bay.
We are literally STEPS away from the treasure that is Holgate's bayfront park--there's a jungle gym, swings, tennis and basketball all right on the bay. Best part? You can see/hear the kids from all the decks and even inside the kitchen/LR!! Since we're only 1 block from the ocean (Jacqueline Rd. is the guarded beach), our house is well-suited for kids with little legs or parents who need to take wee ones home for naps. Launch your paddleboards/kayaks from our bay--we also have a large garage available for your storage needs. Stash your extra food/beverages in the full-sized secondary fridge/freezer located in the garage--just next to the ping pong table. Should you need to park a car in the garage, you can and there will still be room for your stuff.
We loved our previous home on this lot and made many memories--as did our loyal renters. We'd love to do the same for your family by providing things like: a ping pong table in the garage for rainy days, art supplies, a doll house and various books/toys. Holgate is a quiet sliver of LBI--our street shuts down around 10pm--so if you're seeking more of party atmosphere (you sound fun!), this may not be the house for you. If you're wanting to stick the kids down and enjoy some beverages with a front-row view of the sunset, we can do that for you.
Allergy alert: while we do not allow pets, our dog (Lab) will visit this house.
Linens, bedding/pillows and towels are not provided. Our preferred supplier of linens and other beach items is LBI Dreammakers. Discounted rates are available--please discuss with us before booking to ensure a discount is applied.

Remote learning is better at the bay!!
We came to this beautiful house to change the scenery for our remote learners (grades 3 & 6) and work from home parents. What a fabulous recharge for all of us. This home is beautifully decorated and comfortable. There was great space for everyone to have a quiet place to Zoom and Google meet with their classes and coworkers. The kids were able to go to the bay playground for breaks and ‘recess’. My older son loved exploring the creatures in the bay and its only a few steps from the house. The internet was great and we had no problems with live streaming in any of the rooms. When school was over, we took long walks on the beach down by the nature reserve that is open in the off-season. The kitchen is well equipped and we made many meals just as we would’ve at home. Jodi, the owner, was great and helped us find a few wonderful places for take out that were open this time of year. Beds are so comfortable and so many to choose from. The view of the bay is breathtaking and we all enjoyed the sunsets. So even though we were still going to school and working, it felt like an escape from the usual. There are silver linings to this crazy year, and this house and this break was one of them for our family. Thank you, Jodi! We can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful home with spectacular bay views
Just a note letting you know what a wonderful week we had at the house. The house is so charming with the beautiful views, bright and color decor and open roomy spaces. Everyone loved it (and that's not easy with our group). We are looking forward to coming back next year. You've created a very special place :)

Another Great Week at 23 Joan Road!
This is our second summer here at this house as I rented this house last July and absolutely fell in love with the home and the location. On checkout date last year, we booked again for this year. It’s a short walk up to the ocean beach and the bay and playground is across the street. Sunsets are spectacular and the view is simply amazing! This house is great and accommodates my entire family (myself, sister and husband, brother, sister in law and three nephews, my mom and her significant other along with my aunt and uncle. There is more than enough room for everyone in this spacious new home. The house is decorated so beautifully and has everything that you could need. The location is a great quiet family friendly neighborhood. We all enjoyed the park across the street, walking and riding our bikes each morning.
This is the best house that I have rented so far on all my years coming to LBI. My family loves it here and we look forward to this week every year. We have already booked it again for next year.
Jodi, the owner is so nice and accommodating. I met her last year when I inquired about her property and she was so willing to let me come and tour her home to make sure this would work for my family. She is so easy going, communicates with you all the way up to your check in and including while you are there. She listens to all of your recommendations and is so easy to work with.

Great Property in Holgate
We recently vaccinated with 3 families and the house is perfect! You couldn’t ask for a better location. It’s a short walk to the beach, the playground and bay is across the street, and the sunset views from the deck are magical! The house is clean, modern and well equipped. I’m so glad we found this gem. We already booked it for next summer! Thank you Jodi for a fabulous week!

Labor Day Weekly Rental - Holgate
Great new property! Close to the bay, beach and neighborhood park. This is our second year, and fourth trip to the Holgate area in the last two years. The owner was more than accommodating, leading up to and through the trip. The property had a great layout with adult space on the top floor and plenty of space for kids and guests on the second. Only recommendation for future seasons would be if you are traveling with young children, work ahead with the owner for baby gates. I know this is on her radar for next season already:) Overall, I would recommend this property to any family looking to get away to a clean, beautiful property, in a quiet, family friendly neighborhood.

Perfect family vacation home!
My family and I just loved this beautiful new home in Holgate close to the bay but only a short 1-block walk to the beach! The upside-down style of this home has the 4 large BR's, a TV/den room with access to a small deck which looks out at the bay and a two full baths on the first level above an unfinished basement and garage. But we really love the spacious, open upper level with its abundance of windows overlooking the bay, HW floors for easy clean-up, comfortable LR furniture (not always the case in some shore rentals), a gorgeous MBR and bath, a conveniently located powder room next to the kitchen and a fabulous kitchen with a large island counter with seating plus a large table which comfortably fit everyone for our annual family Seafood Nite and had everything we could possibly need for feeding our large group for the week. We loved spending our mornings on the deck enjoying coffee and the newspaper, but nothing compared to watching the sun set over the bay in the evenings - simply gorgeous.
The bayside location was perfect for our grandchildren to enjoy the small park swing/play set and tennis court directly across the street at the bay which we could see from the deck, and the kids could also walk to the small deli at the end of the island too. So the bay across the street and a 1 block walk to the beach - best of both worlds!
We plan on coming back every year to this lovely home! You won't be disappointed either.

Best of both worlds
This was our first stay at this home in Holgate and we will definitely return. You can't beat the location with the bay/park steps away and the beach a half block away. We have 3 kids (1, 3, and 5) and the house is very kid-friendly with a downstairs playroom that is stocked with books, art supplies, and a dollhouse and 5 bedrooms so we could spread out. Jodi was so easy to work with- accommodating and communicative without being overbearing- and she thought of everything with this house. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the house was spotless upon arrival (that hasn't been the case in other rentals). We enjoyed a quiet week in Holgate and can't wait to return.

Spectacular home in a great location
This house was so clean and new and large enough to accomodate me and my 4 kids and a few of their friends.
The 5 bedrooms were large and my kids especially liked the room with the double bunk beds
The reverse living layout offered amazing views of the sunset on the balconies off the living rooms
The kitchen is huge and offers a lot of room for seating at the center island and large kitchen table
The middle level also offers another living room where my kids enjoyed playing the board games that were there
The house was so tastefully decorated and there was a lot of attention to detail when they built it
The garage has a ping pong table that my kids enjoyed playing
Across the street is a playground and basketball and tennis courts where u csn keep an eye on your kids from the balcony
The beach is a short 1/2 block walk
By far this was the nicest house I have rented and the owner was a pleasure to deal with

Amazing New Holgate Home!
Our family of 5 (3 kids ages 8, 6, 2) plus 1 set of grandparents stayed in this new construction home in Holgate for 4th of July week. This house is beautifully decorated with every detail well thought out. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of comfy beds and baths. The views of the bay are stunning and the sunsets were amazing each night. Playground and tennis courts are across the street, plenty of parking, easy bay access if you have paddle boards or kayaks. The beach was an easy 5 min walk. Jodi was so easy to work with and had great communication! We loved this house!
