Description

Get the best of both worlds with this charming LBI style cottage with a modern, sophisticated interior design. It is the ideal beach retreat to shut out the world for quiet time or to entertain with friends and family. Steps from either the ocean or the bay, this exquisitely landscaped property offers several different looks -- from fresh cut flower and herb garden to tree shaded hammock nook. Inside sports 4 bedrooms, cozy living room area, open kitchen that allows you to entertain while cooking and sun room that opens onto the back deck with a large outdoor table that comfortably seats eight.

The house is best for families, six to eight -- with eight is the maximum. To avoid the traffic, we rent solely Friday through Friday during the summer.

Expansive master bedroom with king size bed is open and bright and provides privacy. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The third bedroom also has a queen size bed and a large bureau. The last bedroom has two twin beds -- perfect for children.

Keep cool with central air while sipping a lemonade. The house has wifi and cable TV if you simply cannot disconnect from the outside world. The newly renovated kitchen with all new appliances is fully stocked whether you’re cooking lobster or grilling steaks on the grill. Keep your wine, micro brews and fresh seafood from the local fish market cold in one of two refrigerators. Clean up is easy with the dishwasher. Morning coffee tastes better on the deck and is easy to make with coffee maker and bean grinder as well as a Keurig. Heat up left overs in the microwave. Rinse the beach sand off in the outdoor shower without fear of running out of hot water thanks to the new tank less hot water heater. And no need to over-pack because the house has a washer and a dryer.

Avoid the summer shore traffic with the Friday through Friday rental schedule. The house comes with beach passes... whether you walk down the block to enter through the Cape Cod like dunes or bike to the easier beach access a few blocks away. Take the children to the playground or play a set of tennis across the street in the morning before the sun gets too hot. If the kids are old enough, let them walk themselves to Mustache Bill’s Diner just a few blocks away. At the end of the day, walk to the bay to watch the sunset or a few more blocks to grab an ice cream at one of two ice creams parlors.

At the end of the day, curl up in front of the TV. At the end of your time, you’ll be reserving your week for the following summer -- or even a quiet fall weekend!

This is the best house I have ever been to. With all the greenery and the beachy look, it's soo calming and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this house and it's always clean when you open the door.

Great House, Responsive/Flexicle hosts

House is a gem and if you like gardens, theirs in the back is very soothing. Owner very nice & accomodating. Lots of good advice for restaurants & activities. Highly recommend!

Perfect in every way!

This house is just adorable and the photos don't do it justice! Comfy, peaceful bedrooms and lovely living spaces, both indoors and out! Everything you could possibly need! Beautiful gardens and lovely spaces to relax. I would recommend for a family 4 + or 2 small families. Really perfect for our needs. Our kids (13 and 9) were able to cycle to the diner for breakfast and to the nearby parks and Viking Village on their own, and they loved the independence. Barnegat Light is at the northern most end of LBI, but that suited us just fine as we made a day trip to Beach Haven to the water and amusement parks and came back to the peace and quiet of BL! Thoroughly recommend! The house itself is really well equipped with a new kitchen, and everything you could need! Also an outdoor grill and private deck area to eat and relax. Thank you to the owners for making it so welcoming and easy for us!
