SEA LA VIE! If you're looking for a true beach vacation, look no further. This home, built in 1922, has been meticulously renovated—you get all the modern comforts along with a cedar-sided beach house feel. The house is located on a short beach block with few houses, making the beach extremely private. It has been recently renovated both inside and out and features a new kitchen (with stainless steel appliances) and two new full baths. There’s a bedroom (with a queen bed) and an adjoining full bathroom on the main floor; upstairs there are three bedrooms (two with queen beds, one with two sets of bunk beds). The house has a charming front porch and a spacious (and completely private) backyard with patio, hammock, gas grill, and outdoor shower. The backyard is beautifully landscaped and features a dining table and patio furniture (with custom cushions) and an herb garden for tenants to enjoy. The charming shed is stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys and towels. The house is within walking distance to wonderful restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors, markets, plus more. Owner writes for HGTV magazine and has strived to make this house feel like a home for guests. Park your car, put on your bathing suit, and leave your stress behind. A summer favorite!
This is everything you need ... great home with all the extras, close to the beach, beautiful backyard and front porch. This was our second year and I hope we'll be back again next year. Colleen is a terrific and responsive owner. Check this house out ... you won't be disappointed!

Perfect vacation rental
We were a group of 3 couples ranging in age from 27 to 75. Sea La Vie was the perfect house for us. The house is charming with very modern amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms. The garden in the back adds to the charm. The screen porch was a comfortable setting for reading and dining. The property is exceptionally well maintained with everything we needed for our time at the shore. Colleen was easy to work with. We would highly recommend this rental and will definitely consider going back.

Great vacation!
Sea La Vie was the perfect house for our yearly summer vacation in LBI. Proximity to the beach was a huge convenience as well as any beach accessory you could think of was available for us in the backyard shed. Albeit old, the home was very well equipped and tastefully decorated with plenty of modern day touches. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation close to the beach!

Great House
We have had the pleasure of staying a week at this house 2 of the last 3 summers. My wife and I have 3 young children and the house provides everything you could ask for. Charm, plenty of room, close to the beach, great back yard to unwind at the end of the day, screened in front porch to enjoy at night, a shed filled with all your beach needs, a full kitchen to cook, a grill to bbq, etc, etc, etc.
LBI has quickly become one of our favorite places and Colleen and her family have made this house the place we think of when we plan our trips. My family and I look forward to hopefully spending many future summer vacation weeks at this special place.

Fabulous Home!
Where to start ... this is a beautiful, yet very comfortable, vacation home. Colleen has thought of everything you might need to make your stay enjoyable. We loved the 'extra living space' in the back yard and the front porch! The location is fabulous ... literally steps from the beach and the neighborhood is friendly and welcoming. Can't wait for next summer!

Juie
We loved our vacation at this beautiful beach house. There were 4 adults and 5 kids and we had plenty of space for all of us. The location was ideal for the beach and bay (one block to both) and walking distance to restaurants and markets. We loved that the kids didn't have to cross the street to go to the beach and that the house had beach chairs, bikes, and kayaks for our use. The home is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is completely equipped with everything you need. It felt like we were at home instead of a rental. We enjoyed the backyard and ate all meals outside. The homeowner was great to work with, answered all our questions, and returned our deposit very promptly. LBI is charming and not crowded at all. There is a lot of traffic arriving on Saturday, but I imagine this is the case everywhere in the summer at the Jersey Shore. We highly recommend this rental.

Thank you Julie. Sadly because of insurance coverage issues, we can no longer offer kayaks and bikes but the beach shed is still filled with beach chairs, kids' toys, beach towels, boogie boards, kites, a beach buggie, and games!
Old Island Charm + Modern Amenities
My family and I have frequented Harvey Cedars for years, and I concur with the other reviewers of this property. You really couldn't ask for a nicer home that is merely a stone's throw to the beach, bay, shops and restaurants. You will feel at home from the moment you arrive, and appreciate the love and creativity the owner has infused into the thoughtful restoration of this property. Just love the front porch for a.m. coffee, and the back yard for gathering as a family in the evening and all the activities in between. As an aside, please note that if you head to Harvey Cedars many of the businesses do not accept credit cards.

Home Away From Home
Our family has vacationed in Harvey Cedars many times and we love it. It's everyone's favorite trip and we used to find ourselves wishing we had our own beach house - until we stayed here. We are repeat renters at Sea La Vie and we really feel like it is our beach house when we are there. It is unlike any other rental. It's beautifully decorated, charming and so comfortable and it has everything you could possibly need or want. The location is unbeatable, beach side and only one block from the bay with amazing sunsets, across the street from Black Eyed Susan's (best restaurant on the island) and a quick walk to the other restaurants and shops. The beach is quite and has life guards and is extra fun when you bring along the boogie boards and beach toys from the shed! My son has spent countless hours on their skim board. Even if it rains the day is not lost because there are puzzles and games to play on the big wood table, a comfy couch with pillows and blankets next to a table full of great books and a wonderful porch for just relaxing. This home is well cared for with attention to every detail. We can hardly wait to go back next summer!
