Why choose SummerPlaceLBI?
CLOSE TO THE BEACH --NO NEED FOR A TRAM TO BRING YOU TO THE SURF!! No roads to cross, and no wait to reach the beach -- just head right up the street when you're ready. Stroll through sandy dunes dotted with seagrass, bayberry bushes, and pines, to arrive at a peaceful, UNCROWDED beach with ample space to sit and swim and not have someone on top of you. Plus our beach is between two lifeguard stands (one being Barnegat Light’s main lifeguard station), so your friends and family can feel safe and secure frolicking in the sun and surf.

Also for your use there are eight (8) beach chairs and two (2) beach carts to bring your stuff to the beach. Enjoy some toys for young and old alike: boogie boards, cornhole, horseshoes, board games, sand toys, and more.
WE PROVIDE: blankets, cotton quilts, shams, and two pillows per bed. YOU PROVIDE: sheets, towels, and beach towels. And if you don't want to pack sheets or towels-no problem! Contact LBI DreamMakers (just four short blocks away) in advance of your stay to rent needed bed linens, towels, bikes, and/or baby gear.
WHEN YOU'RE NOT ON THE BEACH: Easily walk to historic Viking Village’s authentic working fish docks and market, quaint shops, and summer antique and craft fairs; restaurants (Off the Hook fresh seafood, 18th Street Café, and Lighthouse Juice Bar), delis (Agnello’s for breakfast sandwiches, and White’s for prime meats and subs), and coffee shops (our favorites are Agnello's and How You Brewin'?).
LIKE TO BIKE? It's a ten-minute bike (or two-minute drive) to the iconic Old Barney lighthouse park and jetty walk, LBI’s best miniature golf course (Jen’s Links), Poppy’s ice cream (complete with player piano), souvenir and retail shops (Kitty Hawk Kites, Andy's), and restaurants (Daymark Bar & Restaurant, Kubel's, Kelly’s, and LaRiva Pizza). BL has pickleball and tennis courts; a basketball and skateboard park; and an outside gazebo featuring free in-season Monday night concerts. Plus you can enjoy fishing boat excursions, evening cruises, and boat rentals at the marinas on BL's bay boulevard. Didn't bring your bike? Rent bikes from LBI DreamMakers four short blocks away!
NO LARGE SECURITY DEPOSIT OR CLEANING SERVICE FEE REQUIRED.
NO SMOKING, NO GROUPS UNDER AGE 25, NO PETS. Our home is on a quiet, resident-filled street in a quiet town. Peace at the Beach!
Above all, take care of our SummerPlace and spacious natural beach…We adore them. Here since 1968, we’ve seen piping plovers; dolphins; turtles; whales; the sunken ship (take a left once you reach our beach and walk in the direction of the lighthouse to see if you can spot the Sea King’s 30-foot mast; depending on the year, it'll be in the ocean, sand, or dunes); horseshoe and sand crabs; seahorse (once); blowfish, and many more creatures of the sea. Don’t discount the potential for beach glass and tons of flotsam either—just head out at low tide or in early morning to see what you can discover.
Barnegat Light: Still a natural paradise you can enjoy!
