Description
Welcome to "Mermaid Manor"! This clean and newly renovated house is located on 28th Street in the quiet beach town of Barnegat Light. Just 8 houses to the ocean and 3 blocks to the Bay Beach, both patrolled by lifeguards, our home sleeps 10 comfortably with 4 bedrooms, 2 full and one half bathrooms.
The main part of the house features a living room with 55" Amazon Smart TV, sectional and additional seating. The Dining Room seats 6 with 2 additional leaves and folding chairs to accommodate 10 guests. The large, newly-renovated fully-equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances, including a stove top with griddle, refrigerator with ice maker, and breakfast bar with seating for 4. Off the living area is a front deck with new Weber grille and outdoor dining for 6. Take in the sunset over Barnegat Bay while relaxing in one of 2 Adirondack chairs and enjoying a cool beverage. Full-size washer and dryer also located in the hallway of the first floor.
The first floor continues with 2 bedrooms, the first with a queen-size bed, 35" Smart TV, half bath and private deck which overlooks the backyard gardens. Finishing out the first floor is a bedroom with a twin-over-full bunkbed and an additional twin trundle. On the second floor, the primary bedroom features a bed with new king-sized mattress, 43" Smart TV and a private deck which overlooks the beautiful backyard gardens. Additionally on the second floor is a bedroom with 2 twin beds. All bedrooms have ample closet and drawer space.
On the ground level, behind the 2-car garage is a bonus room with 55" Smart TV, loveseat and couch, cozy conversation area, refrigerator, games, puzzles and ping-pong table. A great area for the kids to hang out and relax!
A private tree-lined backyard offers an outdoor shower, 2 chaise lounge chairs, a hammock, dining table with seating for 4 plus a bar height table for 2, and a bocce/game court. In the evening, you can enjoy the ambiance of the backyard lighting.
We provide six beach passes, 9 beach chairs and a beach cart for transporting your beach gear, beach umbrella, beach games, sand toys, and 2 boogie boards for kids (or kids at heart!). The home offers off-street parking for six cars, dual-zone central air conditioning, and washer/dryer on main level. There are some bikes available for use in Garage as well.
We provide pillows, blankets and quilts/comforters but please bring your own sheets, bath towels and beach towels. (LBI DreamMakers offers rentals of everything from sheets, highchairs & cribs to bikes!)
We have lovely neighbors - please be mindful of noise.
Barnegat Light offers many unique activities and sights of LBI, including but not limited to: Lighthouse State Park, Historic Viking Village, sunset cruises, weekly concerts, multiple family-friendly restaurants, and much more. Get to know this peaceful and exclusive part of LBI that offers the perfect chance to unwind and relax during your vacation.
What's nearby? Walk or ride your bike to Viking Village, where you can pick up the freshest fish for dinner from Cassidy's, stop by Frank's farm stand for veggies and flowers (and LOTS more!), or enjoy boutique shopping. Head to Kubel's or Daymark restaurant for lunch or dinner. Practice your short game and pick up a slice of pizza at Jen's Links at LBI 36-hole mini-golf course, climb the 217 steps to the top of Old Barney for spectacular views of the island, stop at Poppy's for ice cream or pick up a bottle of wine from Keeper's Liquor store.

Policies
Payment terms: An initial deposit of 50% of the cost for the total rental period is required to reserve the property. A check, cash, Zelle or Venmo deposit and a signed Agreement will book the property for the period indicated. If payment is not received in a timely manner, the Owner reserves the right to cancel this Agreement and rent the property to another party. The balance of the full rental cost ($) and a security deposit of $500 is due no later than 45 days before the check-in date indicated in the contract. *Final payment includes a $500 refundable security deposit. Lost Beach Badges $100 per badge.

Great place, great weather!
We had a wonderful time on LBI this year. We never stayed North of Brandt Beach in the past so this was our first time exploring in depth what the North side of the island had to offer. We found this location "Mermaid Manor" was nicely located, stocked with plenty of kitchen items, bikes, chairs, etc. to accommodate our needs. The house had plenty of space and amenities to keep us busy if the weather turned poor. Highly recommend!

We had the best 2 week vacation at this lovely home . It was spacious and clean . The bocci ball court made for fun evenings as well as the ping pong tournaments . We can’t wait for next year .

House was perfect! Plenty of space for family. House was clean, uncluttered, user friendly w plenty of sunlight.
4 large bedrooms w 3 bathrooms made this house the perfect space for large families.

Newly renovated and pet friendly.
Our two week stay in Barnegat Light was more enjoyable since we were able to have our pup with us. This house has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Close to the beach on a quiet street with friendly neighbors. Bikes, chairs, toys, umbrella were all available for guests to use. Plenty of room for our family. Kitchen is fully equipped to prepare meals. Liz was very responsive and helpful with any inquiries. We look forward to another week in September!!
