Fabulous ocean views from second floor and roof top deck! Great contemporary raised property, 4 bed 2 bath with central air is a great get-a-way for your family. If you and your family enjoy a nice breeze then look no further as the house sits well away from any neighbors and on the corner, so it gets the best of any direction ocean breeze to enjoy. Steps from the beach and three decks (don't forget that hammock). There is an open concept living room, dining area and kitchen. Three bedrooms on the main level, master suite on second floor with a private deck, then walk up to the rooftop deck for sunset! There is a Deli right next door for easy breakfast or lunch as well as an Ice Cream Shop a few houses away that also rents bicycles. You can take those bicycles to the end of the island bird sanctuary or head a few minutes north instead for all the activities and shopping in Beach Haven such as Schooners Wharf, Fantasy Island, Thundering Surf, Bay Village, Surflight Theatre, The Maritime museum or any of the great restaurants and bars. If you don't feel like riding a bike, the free LBI shuttle picks you up right in front of the house; What a great location for your family vacation! There is even a playground with an open field and tennis courts around the corner. Beach badges are included to borrow, and you're welcome to borrow our beach, sports, and water toys and of course beach chairs and an umbrella! Great location in South Beach Haven
We enjoyed our stay at this ocean side house in South Beach Haven. Our family of 5 had plenty of space inside and out. We enjoyed the newly renovated kitchen and updated master bath. Plenty of outside living space with 3 decks and ocean view. Large driveway to park cars and bikes. The house was very clean upon arrival and plenty of linens and towels were provided.
Nice big outdoor shower was helpful. We would stay here again!

Don’t stay here
The location was nice and convenient, but we didn’t have a good vacation and experience at the house. The first day when putting our linens on we discovered one of the mattresses had blood on it. I had to spend the first day of vacation cleaning the home, because my family was grossed out. The rugs were covered with urine stains from pets and it had a horrible smell. After texting and calling the owner it would take him full DAYS to get back to us. I called and he never once called me back only followed up with a text message the next day.. it was extremely unprofessional. Please let me know if you would like to see pictures and videos ronniem1009@aol.com and have any questions. I’m not one to write bad reviews ever, but I don’t want you to have a bad experience especially spending thousands of dollars for a family vacation.

You called me at 11pm on the night that you checked in because of a stain on the mattress COVER (not the mattress) after being in the house for over 9 hours including the early check in we happily extended you. I responded that there would be no way of having someone come out at that time however, I had the cleaning company out and change the cover the next morning so you're not telling the truth when you say I didn't get back to you for days. I'm not sure why you felt it necessary to re clean a clean home because of a stain on a mattress cover. You could have just put the sheet onto the mattress as the mattress cover is simply to protect the mattress. Especially when the cleaning crew found the brand new mattress protector stuffed into a closet after you checked out because you did just that; put sheets onto a mattress.
The stain on the carpet near the door is from when the Canadian wildfire smoke was dropping ash on the deck. As we are very close to the beach, the deck is frequently wet, especially in the mornings. The ash and water mixture was tracked into the house and that is why the carpet is stained near the front door. It is also one of the reasons we don't allow smoking, especially on the decks (ash on the deck tracks into house, burn holes on outside carpet, cigarette butts) which you guys didn't seem to care about listening to. They are not pet stains. The house is not dirty as the carpets were professionally cleaned the week before you arrived after the issues with the wildfire ash. I can also guarantee there is no smell because my wife and I were personally there the day you checked in working on the house as well as some neighbors that were helping out. It's highly likely we would have noticed a "smell" that you never mentioned during your entire stay. I will however say the stains up stairs you left were new, and we definitely appreciated cleaning those up. I'm assuming they are from your noisy (multiple complaints) dog that was obviously not kept in a crate. Or perhaps it was ash from smoking on the deck (multiple reports from neighbors). All violations of our lease.
Additional violations of our lease are damaging the property which your review conveniently left out and is why I'm assuming you're leaving a 1 star review; Because you're being held accountable for it. I even offered to let you find a cheaper contractor in the area as long as they were license and insured. Instead of doing that your brother harassed me with over 30 texts calling me names. We also appreciated you dumping all your garbage into the trash cans without bags even though we provide them and more with our welcome bags (which you also threw into the trash instead of leaving the unused things for the next guests). We apologize if you're mad that we had to charge you for a service to rectify that so the next tenants didn't have to deal with your trash, as the town will not take the garbage that way. All of this is clearly stated on the lease and posted in the house. The cleaning company also notified us you didn't even lock our door on your way out as they were cleaning your sand out of the beds. It would have been nice of you to use the newly repaired less than 1 year old locks that you guys had broken in a way that the lock smith had never seen before. The locksmith was also sent out the very next day on a Sunday, again after notifying me at 11pm. Again, all much appreciated.
We have a guest book full of great reviews complimenting our cleanliness, our hospitality, and our responsiveness. It's unfortunate that you seem impossible to please, but taking it out on our home isn't acceptable. You will be held accountable, as will any other person who thinks it's okay to treat our home like a frat house. Please let us know how you would like to pay your remaining balance for the damages.
Rent this House
The location is amazing. You can be on the sand in a few steps. Close to Fantasy Island and close to the tip of LBI. The house is amazing. It really could not be nicer. You don't need to do anything but show up. And the owners were communicative and fantastic. We had a great time and hope they will rent to us again.

Wonderful Place to Stay Would Highly Reccomend
We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend for three nights and had a lovely time. Upon our arrival first impressions were that the photos in the listing did not do it justice. The house was very clean with such a fun beachy feel. There were five of us and we felt there was more than enough space bedroom wise. There is a wine cooler built in beneath the kitchen counter which was a nice added bonus allowing for more room in the refrigerator for other food items. The owner left a welcome bag with some necessities like paper towels, toilet paper, etc. and even gifted us a box of fudge! The master bathroom has an amazing spacious shower. The second bathroom was also very nice, and it was obvious both had been recently renovated. Would love to come back to stay a little later in the season when it's much warmer so that we could utilize the outdoor space more (it was a bit chilly at times). The roof top sun deck would be the perfect space for sun bathing. It's a very short walking distance to the beach which was very convenient. My ONLY suggestions for possible future additions would be t.v.'s in the bedrooms and a full length mirror. Overall, would highly recommend staying here and when we find ourselves planning another trip to LBI we will book again if available.

Ocean Block home just 6 houses to the beach
Overall, a great place to stay- walking distance to beach, outdoor shower. large fridge, all appliances worked well, kitchen well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses etc. A/C worked well. Place was neat and tidy upon arrival.
Master bath dated, but decent but I was disappointed that jacuzi was out of service. Master bedroom was nice and roomy, but the bed was a Queen sized bed, not a King sized bed. Other bedrooms were on the small side.
Umbrellas, chairs and surfboards toys etc were provided but were mostly old and falliing apart. No linens or towels provided- you either bring your own or rent from a service that delivers. We opted to bring our own. With three teens, that was a lot of laundry to do. The house has two great decks, one on the very top which provides a beautiful view of the bay and ocean. Owner was very nice and reachable. Was pleased to find a box of fudge waiting for us when we arrived and yes, I ate most of it myself. All in all, I would reccommend this house

It was a pleasure hosting Harold and his sons. The Jacuzzi being out of service was disclosed before booking, so it is unfortunate that he was still disappointed about it. *UPDATE* The master bath and kitchen were fully remodeled over this winter going into the 2023 season. We wouldn't classify the Umbrellas, and Chairs as falling apart... as they still work (we personally use them), and are also complimentary, however they are kept in outside storage, and the salt air and guests do make them "used". There is a rental place across the street for any needed or missing items for a stay. In terms of linens one would have the option of making a reservation for linens with a 3rd party company and we do recommend that. Harold's reservation was made very close to his arrival time and linen companies are frequently sold out by that point in time (August). Cleaning companies have no way of washing and making beds in the amount of time between a check-in and check-out as they also clean multiple other houses besides ours in that time, hence why we don't provide linens. Our apologies about the mix up on the sizing of the bed upstairs. Glad Harold enjoyed his stay, we look forward to possibly hosting him and his family in the future.
