Dana was a great host, always reachable and quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. The house is located 3rd in from the start of the beach path and a block from town with restaurants, deli, ice cream, and views of the bay/boats/harbor.
We loved our stay, the house is original but updated so you are able to enjoy the best of both worlds. A rustic old home feel with updated features. The bedrooms were more than comfortable for our group, the master is lovely with high vaulted ceilings and a master bath that was more than adequate when we didnt make use of the outdoor shower. The other bedroom was nice and just off a balcony facing the front of the house, perfect fro morning coffee. A bunk bed room was great, although we used it for our infant sleepign in a crib we rented. The third floor was really cool and unique, three bedrooms with fun little kid friendly features. The roof deck was amazing, great views of the ocean and the bay, better than anticipated. We had drinks up there most nights and the breeze, sunsets were amazing, even heard a concert coming from the town park.
A gas grill was a nice feature out in the back yard, we used the outdoor dining table twice which was lovely. Toys and beach chairs in the garage were really helpful.
Overall it was an awesome week on the beach, very convenient to what we needed. Dana was very helpful when I was turned around with a few questions. I'd recommend this stay.

How lucky we were to find this rental (which happened to be last minute)! Dana was so accommodating to myself and my family and extremely responsive. We so enjoyed the house with all of its character and charm and the distance to the beach and panoramic views on the top deck were great! The walk to the beach can seem a bit long on a hot day but it is a beautiful walk and the scenery makes it worth it :) We rented bikes and rode them everyday and it was so nice to be able to walk to go mini golfing and for ice cream at Poppy’s. So much was in walking and bike distance. I also highly recommend Instacart service for grocery delivery. They will shop and deliver from Acme or ShopRite. They will even deliver within 2 hours or ordering. Viking Village was a great spot to visit and we picked up fresh produce every other day from the farm stand. Wish we were still there...

We couldn't have asked for a better house or location to suit all of our vacation needs! The intentionality, care and attention to detail that have been poured into this historic home are greatly evident! It is a home like no other! We loved our time there and would return in a heartbeat!

Dana’s house in Barnegat Light was just as advertised. It was close to the beach and other LBI establishments. There is a grill, fire pit, outdoor seating, beach chairs, everything we could have wanted for a nice beach weekend.

Clean, comfortable and well-equipped, this house was full of interesting collections of all sorts from lp’s to jars of sand from around the world to board games, and books, and toys and costumes for children, not to mention plenty of towels, tennis rackets and bikes. The 100-year old house itself was clearly renovated with a lot of attention to detail and eye-appeal. Our family of 8 (3 generations) loved all the cozy nooks and crannies, levels and porches.
Our main concern were the steep steps (even to the 3rd level. not to mention 4th) which would prove difficult for young children and older people to navigate. Overall, a great rental home with a very accessible owner (by phone) who clearly cares about her guests and wishes for them an enjoyable stay. We would gladly repeat our visit here!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our multigenerational vacation in this lovely home. There were 8 of us ranging in ages from 16 to 70. Dana, the owner, was wonderful to work with and was very responsive to all of our questions. She even texted mid stay to see if we needed anything!
All towels and bedding was provided which was a huge help. There were plenty of fluffy towels for all. Another nice treat was to have robes readily available especially when using one of the two outdoor showers.
The kitchen was well stocked with all of the necessities and there is a nice sized grill right off the back deck. We enjoyed our family dinners outdoors on the big picnic table and then evening fires at the firepit.
There is a stop right at the end of the street to catch a ride to the beach. But you can also walk to the beach in less than 10 minutes. Our family did both with no issues.
Our family loved the fact that this was a historic home. You can tell all the work put into it was a labor of love and that many happy family memories were made here.
Thank you, Dana, for sharing your home with our family and helping us create memories of our own.
