Description

With 7 spread-out bedrooms, our house is perfect for multiple families and big groups. The rooms are all quite spread out, offering much opportunity for privacy, especially in the two large master bedrooms that are located on a second level. Inside offers many spaces to gather with many windows for natural light. The location of the house offers the best of all worlds - situated on one of the narrowest parts of the island, it is directly on a lagoon for instant bay access (great sunset views!), yet just a short walk down the street to LBI Blvd is the beach. Just a short 5-minute walk (or 2 minute drive - literally just across the Blvd!) you are at the public beach access for Loveladies. The house comes with a parking pass for the public beach access as well as seasonal beach tags for use. Or, when you need a break from the sand, enjoy the fantastic outside space the house has to offer, including an in-ground pool, several lounge chairs, dining table, grill and dock.

Loveladies is a very small town on Long Beach Island. Our house is just one mile from the start of Harvey Cedars town - where you can find small shops, restaurants, groceries, bars, and ice cream. A short drive in the other direction and you will arrive at Barnegat Light, which is the end of the LBI island and also home to many delicious places to eat.

About the owner: We have owned this family vacation home since 1999. Now that the children are all grown and a bit more spread out, we find that we aren't able to use it as often together anymore. So we'd like to share it with other families to build special memories here as well.

Amazing vacation rental!

My family & friends had an amazing time at 140 Laguna Lane over the Labor Day holiday. This house is perfect for a large group of people - there were a total of 13 of us a few of the nights and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The many different sitting areas within the house worked perfectly for all of us.
The highlight of the house is definitely the outdoor space. The landscaping is beautiful and there's plenty of seating - we enjoyed breakfast overlooking the dock watching the boats go by and great BBQ's. The pool area was beautiful with many lounge chairs for enjoying the sun or reading under the umbrellas.
The house was well stocked with lots of kitchen essentials, bikes, kayak, games, beach towels etc.
We enjoyed our time in the house & pool, enjoyed the beautiful backyard and spent time at the beach which is a short walk away. Although Loveladies is a very quiet area of Long Beach Island we took car rides to explore the rest of the island. Everything is very accessible.
Loree was an amazing host and I would not hesitate to rent this wonderful house again. It is DEFINITELY the best of all worlds - bay, beach & pool!

Great Family Vaction Spot

This was a wonderful property for our family vacation in LBI. The house is spacious and has all the amenities needed. With easy access to the bay and ocean we brought our boat and enjoyed fishing trips while docking the boat at the house. There are two downstairs wings with bedrooms providing privacy in addition to two large shared spaces. The upstairs provides additional privacy with two large bedrooms. The beach is just a short walk from the house and if you don’t want to walk parking passes to park at the beach entrance are provided. Also, Loree was a wonderful host and very responsive to any questions.

A walk down memory lane

As soon as we walked into 140 Laguna Lane we felt at home. The house is very spacious, beautifully decorated, super clean and has any indoor or outdoor "amenity " that we needed. The large, beautiful pool and outdoor lounge chairs were heaven for relaxing close to home. The bikes got used for exploring the island - one morning we rode to the lighthouse. The tandem kayak was fun for exploring the lagoons, marshes and "backyard sightseeing". Each day we got fresh local fish and used the grill and beautiful outdoor dining area. Being in Loveladies was extra special as my family had a home there many years ago. It had been 40 years since I visited! LBI is a a special place, Loveladies is magical and 140 Laguna Lane is a great house! To top it off Loree was a wonderful host.

PERFECTION

This Laguna Lane property was perfect for our family gathering. The accommodations were comfortable and provided everything we needed. Loree was available 24/7 to answer questions and provide support. We lived sitting in the lanai on rainy days. We will definitely return next year.

Amazing Vacation Home

Just returned from a wonderful week in LBI! This home had everything you needed! Loved the bay and pool and the beautiful beach was a quick drive or walk away! We had plenty of room for all 14 of us - 8 adults and 6 teens/young adults. Loree was super-responsive and a pleasure to work with. We would love to come back next year!!

Wonderful family vacation

Our extended family of 11 adults and one child, had a fabulous vacation in Loveladies this year. Loree is a responsive, responsible, caring hostess who communicated clearly and promptly. The pandemic added extra layers of cleaning and guidelines for renters, all of which were appreciated. The house is exactly as represented, spread out, with multiple living areas. The two Master bedrooms upstairs are spacious. One has a walk-in closet, 2 sinks and a porch that overlooks the back deck and pool. The first floor bedrooms are situated in two wings of the house, off the central living area. They are much smaller, and better suited for kids, although we had adults sleeping in every room. The kitchen is well stocked, and we appreciated the second beverage refrigerator! The outside space with large pool, deck, 8 new loungers and umbrella, grill and one table that seats 6, was the daytime hub of activity. Having a canal in the "backyard" was fun to watch the boats go by. There is only one upper deck which was too narrow for all of us to enjoy sunsets together, so we took shifts! All in all, a great family retreat!

Wonderful Family Reunion

For many years our families vacationed at Loveladies and enjoyed our times together. Unfortunately the storm in 2012 damaged the home beyond repair and due to a number of circumstances including family members spread across many locations it was decided not to rebuild. However, we all missed Loveladies and planned that we would return at some point for a family reunion on the island. This year was the year. We were able to coordinate calendars and were fortunate enough to find and to stay at 140 Laguna Lane for our week back on the island. There were 14 of us in two families who were on vacation together including two young grandchildren. We needed a place with some space and this home is large enough so that each family had their own section of the house. Bathrooms are plentiful which is a plus with 14 people. The home is as spacious as described with plenty of room for families to enjoy time together or in smaller groups. We enjoyed meals on the back deck watching the sunset most evenings. While at the shore we enjoy dinners a little later so the sunsets were a plus. I loved either sitting on the back screened porch or deck early in the morning or late in the evening. The "older adults" enjoyed coffee by the pool in the morning. There was plenty of room for the "younger adults" to play games in the evening. It is a short walk (or a shorter drive since there are parking passes included) to a guarded beach (important for us...badges included also). I can't tell you because I lost count as to how much time I spent in the pool. So did everyone else. This was a plus for us. Time on the beach and in the pool can be a perfect vacation combination. We enjoyed the kayak and other amenities such as the gas grill. We were impressed by how quiet it was in the evening and were greeted by the neighbors in the morning as my wife and I took our grandchildren for their morning walk. Loree is a wonderful and attentive hostess. All arrangements were easily completed and the home included everything listed on the rental site. Loree noted that she is always available through different contacts but we had no reason to get in touch with her except to let her know what a wonderful time we all had at 140 Laguna Lane. We are making arrangements now to return next Summer. Thank you Loree.....

The Best— and I mean BEST — beach house!

This house is just perfect! Light-filled, open and airy, spacious (three separate wings each with space for 4-6 people to sleep and separate baths), beautifully decorated, incredible pool with beautifully maintained landscaping and I have to mention also insanely clean... I could go on and on... Loree ensures that the house is stocked with every amenity imaginable— from books, games, mountain bikes - with helmets, basketballs (yep there’s a net in front!), tennis rackets and cans of balls, frisbees and coloring supplies to an incredibly stocked kitchen, a high-end grill with all tools, abundant outdoor seating, lighting and beautiful landscaping ... there is simply everything here. In addition, her meticulous care and incredible attention to detail is like nothing I’ve seen in the 15 years I’ve rented with my family. The lagoon in the back is mesmerizingly serene and the access to the beach (with tags for preferred parking) is literally a one minute drive. I can’t say enough good things. There’s really only one downside — you won’t want to go! Thank you for a fantastic week. We’ll most definitely be back!

A HOME WITH EVERYTHING

Having rented on LBI for about 25 years, this is the 1st review I have ever written.
The home has everything you need for a comfortable and pleasant stay. From bikes to kayaks to linens and beach towels to a well stocked kitchen to crayons and paper for my grandson, Loree has thought about everything. The backyard, with the pool and canal, creates a very relaxing atmosphere. The house is set up in such a way as to provide several separate living areas if more than one family is renting. Loree was great to work with and I would recommend this house for a very enjoyable family experience.

Our week was wonderful at this Lagoon front home! From the time of organizing the booking of the house with Loree and our arrival Loree made everything so easy! She responds right away to emails and texts. The house was very clean and sufficiently supplied with everything you would need for the week! Would rent this house again! Thank you for a great vacation in your home.
