This beach-block home in Barnegat Light, has a great upside down contemporary design that is flooded with light and beautiful breezes. The open living space includes the living room, dining area, kitchen and powder room on the top floor. The lower floor has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a laundry area. There are five large decks – two off the front, two off the back and one rooftop deck with a 360 degree view. Views include the ocean, sunrise, sunset and the working lighthouse. The upper back deck is off the dining area and has a propane gas grill and outdoor dining for up to 10 people. The front deck has patio lounge chairs.
Barnegat Light is on the north end of Long Beach Island and is home of the famous lighthouse, “Old Barney”. There are tennis courts one block to the west of the house. Make a short bike ride or walk to Viking Village, an historic fishing port with quaint gift and antique shops. On some summer weekends, Viking Village has arts and crafts fairs. Viking Village is important for commercial fishing and has the freshest seafood around. At Viking Village and along the bayside you can find charter fishing trips and boat rentals. Just south of Viking Village on the bayside is a children’s beach with lifeguard. The town of Barnegat Light has several casual dining places, ice cream, liquors, gift shops, clothing, antiques, variety stores and miniature golf. In the bordering town of Love Ladies there is a community center with tennis, art exhibits, yoga, arts and crafts classes and children’s activities. Driving south, you will find many more restaurants and attractions in the towns of Harvey Cedars, Surf City and Beach Haven.
