A taste of Nantucket on LBI, welcome to Big Red! A traditional New England Center Hall house set on a quiet street off the boulevard and right on the bay touching Sportsman's Marina with INCREDIBLE water views, you’ll fall in love with the stunning sunsets (with your favorite drink) after a day at the beach! The house is already very well appointed for a terrific week at the beach, but the highlight of your trip will be all of the fun times you and your family will spend in and around the brand new heated salt-water pool and outdoor bar ready for all 2020 rentals to enjoy. The landscaping is impeccable and the new Glen Gary clay brick patios complete the property. Our home is 2-5 block radius from some of the top restaurants on the island (Beach Haven Fishery, Stefano's, Dockside Diner) and only 10 short blocks to the beginning of other amazing restaurants and attractions (Fantasy Island, Howards, Terrace Tavern, The Black Whale). Mini golf, water-sport & bike rentals, ice-cream shops, deli's & bagel shops also are all around the corner. For the adults, make sure to make your way to the Hudson House on 13th Street at night for some drinks and games - an easy 10 block walk or 2 minute Uber ride. Lastly, even though the house is right on the bay, it is a relatively narrow part of the island where the beach is only a 6-7 minute walk from the house. The Spray Beach Inn is only one entrance over where you can pop in for a bite, a drink or the use of their facilities. If you plan on sticking around on the bay side for the day, you have bay access to drop any kayaks, paddle boards, or a take a quick swim 3 blocks away from the house! To top it all off, if you plan on bringing your boat or renting one for the week, we provide access to dock your boat (up to 26ft) right in the backyard at Sportman’s Marina.

Reminders: We do not provide any linens or toiletries however we are happy to help with concierge services for those items or any additional such as grocery delivery, cribs, etc. We have a no pet policy and also request while outside on the patios or pool, to please use the plastic cups and plates!

A 50% deposit is due within 7 days of making your reservation. The remaining 50% and security deposit will be due 45 days prior to arrival.

Best vacation ever
We couldn’t be happier with our week spent at Big Red. So spacious, beautifully furnished and had everything we could have wanted. Views were spectacular, loved having the pool and the bay out the back door. Our host, John was wonderful and so gracious. We would love to bring the whole family again!

Lovely home
We’ve never stayed on the bay side of LBI and it was a nice change of pace. The location was perfect .. close enough to all the action yet sill quiet and relaxing… and oh those sunsets!

Perfect Vacation
We had a party of 6 but the house could easily accommodate at least 10. The house is on the bay side with very easy 5 minute walk to the beach. Sunsets on the upper deck patio were amazing. We also enjoyed the pool area for late afternoon relaxing (and drinks at the outdoor bar). The house included all the amenities we could ask for and John was always available to answer questions and make very helpful recommendations. The owners clearly take great pride in providing their guests a great experience. It was really the perfect vacation for our family to enjoy some time together at the beach in this difficult year. We highly recommend this beautiful property.

Family Vacation
My Son and Grandson rented a house on LBI, me my wife my son and daughter went down for 4 days. The pool was situated very well and the outdoor dining area was prefect for a large family. The house was very spacious and comfortable with plenty of room. The view of the Bay and the boat traffic was outstanding. Having 4 generations under 1 roof was the perfect vacation. Will do it again next year

Great for Large families
This house was set up perfectly for a large family and our little ones. At one point during the week we had 4 generation under one roof. The home is newly remolded and has a great beach house vibe. The pool in the yard was perfect for adults to cool off and the tiny humans to swim and splash around. Best part of a house this size is that we all have our own rooms and space for when we needed it. John was great to rent from and made sure the house had all the needed items for a long week of relaxing and vacationing. Added bonus, THAT VIEW!

Family vacation at its finest
My Farther & I rented this home for a family vacation for 12 Adults and two infants, with everything going on in the world we all just needed a break. When we arrived I was shocked with how accommodating this home was. John (the owner) did not miss a beat or spare any expense when considering his house guests comfort.
We spent more time by the pool then at the beach. It was truly a private getaway with unbelievable views of the bay.
The local shops and restraint’s within walking distance made it possible to park my truck on arrival and not move it till the last day to return home. I have never felt as relaxed on the island as I did in this home.
We can’t wait to return next year and I think we found a new family tradition. "Big Red" gave us some much needed normalcy in a very otherwise hectic time.
