Description
Interested in renting our home for an extended stay of one month of longer? Please inquire! We are open to negotiating a price for a long term summer stay.
Our home is located at 258 N. 5th Street in Surf City on Long Beach Island, NJ. It is a short walk or bike ride to the beach and bay. Within walking distance of several restaurants, ice cream shops and boutiques. Our house is newly updated and features 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 family areas with two separate eating areas, an outdoor fire pit and picnic area, garage, garden and an outdoor shower. There are two bedrooms downstairs and a full bathroom. There are 2 additional bedrooms upstairs with another full bathroom. Also comes with a smart TV with Xfinity cable and Internet, and washer and dryer. To make your vacation more relaxing we will provide 6 beach badges and 4 beach chairs.
Our home has newly installed AC throughout the house.
Fresh Linens will be provided for all beds. You may bring your own, if you wish. We will also supply bath towels and beach towels. We will also include an Iron and Ironing Board, Hair Dryer, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Maker, and Dishwasher and several board games for your family’s entertainment.
Our house is just a short walk (or bike ride) to the beach. The beaches are all family friendly. Your children will love playing in the sand and swimming in the ocean. Surf City beaches are guarded between 10 am – 5 pm daily from Father’s Day weekend through Labor Day week. Surfing is allowed outsides flags and the fishing beach is on 23rd Street. Surf City Beach Badges (which are included) will give you access to all beaches and the bay beach. Anyone under 12 or 65 and older does not need badges.
Our home is the perfect family beach house for your vacation. Surf City is a classic LBI town that has many restaurants that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, several ice cream stores, pizzerias, mini golf courses and several boutiques. Some of our favorite restaurants in Surf City include Scojo’s, Kyuramen, Wally’s, Yellow Fin, Northside Bar and Grill, Lighthouse Deli, Smokey's BBQ, Dio’s, and Surf City Hotel, which also features a bar and nightclub. Surf City Pizza and Panzone’s Pizza are also nearby. Surf City also features How You Brewin' Coffeehouse and several art galleries like the MT Burton Gallery, Firefly, Swell Colors, and Solace Gallery. The Big Dipper, Rita’s, Grannie Annie’s, Pelican's Snoballs, and Scoop City are all within walking distance. If there is somewhere you would like to go that is not within walking or biking distance, there is an LBI shuttle service that can take you and your family anywhere on the island for a small fee.

Policies
Owner's Cancellation Policy:
Canceled bookings will not receive a refund, unless the week is booked by someone else after the cancellation.
Rental Policy:
50% due upon booking, 50% due 45 days prior to check in. Cash or check accepted. Venmo also accepted. Credit cards are not accepted. You can also scan contract and email it
Owner's Bike/Board Policy:
We will provide bikes, but the renter is responsible for helmets and their own safety. Owner is not liable for renter's safety when it comes to using the boogie boards that are provided. Anything provided at the house is to be used at the renter's own risk and liability.
A 50% deposit is due within 7 days of making your reservation. The remaining 50% and security deposit will be due 45 days prior to arrival.
Min. age of primary renter: 28
Person signing agreement must be at least 28.
We rent our home seasonally to families and several of our neighbors are full time residents.

Love this cozy cape!!!
This cozy cape is as described and more! We love this house - it fits our family of 6 perfectly with room to spare. The house is comfortable and there is plenty of space between the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms and the two downstairs living spaces. It’s so charming and beautifully decorated and taken care of.
The house has everything you could need including linens, towels, and cookware. It’s also nice to have a second fridge and laundry in the garage if you’re staying for a longer period of time. Plenty of beach badges (a bonus!) and beach chairs are provided too, if you need them.
We love the outdoor space with the fire pit, gas grill, and Adirondack chairs to hang with our family in the evenings. If not outside, plenty of room to hang inside too!
We also appreciate the beautiful little vegetable garden of which we were able to use fresh basil and cucumbers during our stay!
The house is an easy walk to local stores, to the beach, and to weekly farmers markets.
The owners are so kind, super responsive, and helpful! Thank you thank you!! We will be back next year!

Best Place I've Rented in Years
Family has been renting on Long Beach Island for over 35 years. This is one of the best houses we've rented. 4 bedrooms, sleeps 10, 2 separate living areas, nice kitchen, 2 baths. We had a family of 5 adults and one child and were very comfortable. Lots and lots of extras. Well maintained, clean, comfortable, lovely back yard, quiet location on Bay side. I'll remember this one!!!

This was our first time staying in LBI for two weeks and we picked the perfect spot. It felt like a home and had everything we needed. The house had more than enough room for our family. Having the two dens worked out great, bc the kids watched their shows in one, and my husband and I watched our shows in the other. The location is ideal because we were able to walk to dinner almost every night with so much around us. We will definitely be staying here again!

Awesome 5 star summer rental!
Having rented on LBI for the last 4 summers I can honestly say this was my favorite rental. It felt like a home. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. Everything was thought of (even down to a muffin pan - we like breakfast muffins … a lot!)
The house was clean and well decorated with plenty of things to do even on the odd rainy day. It’s easy walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants.
Our next rental on LBI will be here for sure!

Beautiful property
We had the distinct pleasure of renting this home and enjoyed every second. The home is beautifully decorated and comfortable; outdoor space is welcoming; and property was cleaner than any other I have rented on island over many, many years. Highly recommend. No detail is missed with this rental, including bikes, chairs, fire pit, and even a garden from which you are welcomed to enjoy.

Hip Clean and Kitchy
The two sisters that own this adorable and deceptively large cape have done an excellent job rehabbing and making it a truly comfortable beach house.
The first thing that struck me was that they provide linens!!! whoa try to find that somewhere else on LBI at this price point. That for me was the decision maker. Nothing I hate more than lugging all my sheets, comforters and towels to a rental for a week...in addition, the kitchen is well stocked with plates, pans, etc.
This home was extremely clean and they embraced some of the decor from the 60's and made it look cool and hip! The bedrooms were good sized especially the two on second floor. And the backyard was great to hang out at night with the market lights and comfy Adirondack chairs. They also have a garden with lettuces and other vegetable that are available to pick...again you don't find this in a rental home- was really a nice perk.
We all said- teenage kids included we would without hesitation rent this home again...thats saying a lot!!! thanks for a lovely stay...
