We stayed in the home for 3 nights over New Year's weekend. It was a family holiday celebration and get-away for three generations of our family: 9 adults and 1 toddler. the house certainly met our expectations based on photos and prior reviews, as well as Skip's wonderful, quick communication from the time I booked right up to our arrival, when Connie met us to welcome us. The house was spacious: two large living areas adjacent to the open kitchen/dining area, plus another loft living room upstairs. The 6 REAL bedrooms all had dbl/queen comfy beds (nice for a family with lots of adults). (And yet, pullout couches if you still need more sleeping space, but did love that the listing did not try to advertise a bedroom that was really just a couch in a living space). The laundry room/office space served as a little bedroom for the toddler's "pack and play".Just perfect. The layout gave enough privacy so those who stayed up late or got up early did not wake the opposite group of sleepers! Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes, utensils, cooking items, etc. Great layout! The wagon we found in a closet provided a fun way for the little one to ride to the playground (1 block) or beach (2 blocks). A screened porch was off the kitchen and faced the front yard/lagoon, so great views from many rooms. The front yard was wonderful... huge deck, a dock, a great hot tub, pretty views of the bay as we were just a few houses in from the bay. Lots of parking on the huge driveway area on street side of the home. We brought in someone to do pallet painting and the space accommodated us well, even without using the kitchen island or moving the small table from lower living space to the upper. If permitted I will provide the name - they were wonderful. Lots of TV's, although we did not use them much. As the owner's manual stated, the remotes are a little bit of a mystery (if anyone sorts them out again, maybe label them!) , but meantime, you'll figure it out and maybe being some extra AA and AAA batteries as the non working ones mostly just had bad batteries. Staircase has a railing on the wall side but is open to the open living space, for us it was not problem, (completely off limits to 19 month old toddler)... just something to consider based on your group. We loved everything about this home. Top 4: Hot tub, great layout for sleeping areas and gathering areas, beautiful front yard space on the lagoon, winter walks on the beach. Thank you Skip!

My family and I stayed at this house for the Thanksgiving holiday. There were nine of us, but the huge house could have accommodated many more- there were ample bedrooms, bathrooms and living room areas. The view was great, the kitchen had everything we needed and the open floor plan between the kitchen and living room was the perfect setup for is all to spread out, yet still be together. Skip and Bob were super helpful and accommodating. Overall, this was one of the best houses we've stayed in for Thanksgiving!

We enjoyed our week at this lovely home on an inlet of the bay. Huge deck perfect for coffee in the morning and cocktails at night. The grill was great for hot dogs at lunchtime and clams for happy hour. Everyone loved the hammock. Room configurations are good for multi-generational family vacation, with 3 rooms on the first floor. The kitchen table seats 8 but you can easily add one of their other tables to it to expand (plenty of room) and there are more chairs throughout the house. There are 3 inside showers and 1 really nice outside shower. 3 bathrooms are toilet/sink. Air conditioning worked great and many ceiling fans. Nice that they include the parking passes and beach tags. Having two refrigerators was really nice. Washer/Dryer very new. Screened in porch was a nice option for the night that it rained. We will be back!

This was our second time staying here with our family and we will likely be back again next year. My extended family loves the large kitchen and open layout of this house. Everyone can be in the same space but also doing different things. We particularly love the gigantic deck overlooking the bay. There iis ample seating - loungers and chairs and a nice size jacuzzi on the deck. The house has a small private dock which we made full use of kayaking and crabbing daily. It’s also perfect for a small boat or jet skis. The hi-light for my family was crabbing on the back deck. There are several large crab traps provided, but the old-fashioned chicken on a string method gets the whole family involved and we actually caught more that way. (You’ll need you’re own crab net for that method though.) The bedrooms are all comfortable. Most but not all have Cable TV. We bought our XBox and hooked it up to the TV in the back sunroom, which made for a nice noise-proof play room for the kids. The north end of the island is a little quieter on an already quiet place. There’s public beach access a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk away. The beach was never crowded during our two mid-summer visits. A new hi-light for us this year was bringing and renting extra bikes for the week in addition to renting two kayaks. (There’s also a double kayak on the property, but not sure if there are lifejackets too - we had our own.) The house is the perfect distance for a nice bike ride to the Barnegat Lighthouse- about 25mins. Right across the street there’s a small park with a playground and swings for younger kids and a clean view of the sunset on the bay. We went almost everyday to watch the sunset. The only real cons I can think of is that it’s a little hike to the nearest full-size grocery store - Acme - almost 30mins., so plan a big trip and stock up. Although there are closer stores for the bare basics - milk, bread, water, etc. and there are an insane amount of light switches on the first floor, so a fun challenge to figure out which switch controls which lights...I’m actually reluctant to leave such a positive review, because we like this house so much, but I suppose there are enough rental weeks to share. The owner, Skip, is really nice and accommodating. We’ve had two perfect and
Memorable family vacations and even managed to lure our kids off their devices much easier than usual with all the amenities and activities. Hope you enjoy it as much as our family did!

Just returned from a full week. Those house was perfect for our needs. Lots of room. Bring kayaks and bikes and you'll never be bored. We also rented a boat for the day and pulled right up to our house! We swam in the lagoon and crabbed right off the dock. The backyard deck is awesome. My family usually rents on the beach side but the kids liked the Lagoon even better. Also, I preferred the slower pace on this side of the island. Beach Haven can get crazy. It was a pleasure dealing with Skip the owner. We will definitely be back.

Our family of 10 had a great long weekend away here! The house was perfect for 5 couples and our two babies. The kitchen and grill, along with the beautiful deck and hot tub made for a perfectly relaxing and cozy family weekend away. Skip was incredibly warm, kind and attentive as a host. We enjoyed working with him and would absolutely come back here in the future!
