It’s not this unit, or the realtor or the owner. The house is lovely and comfortable, the owner was easy to work with, as was the realtor. The real issue with this property is the neighbors. This little section of Pennsylvania Avenue has some neighbors who particularly dislike vacationers/renters. I can imagine it's annoying to have a new family next door every week and some renters may not be as well behaved as others but there is no reason for all four neighbors to try to be obnoxious. The neighbor on the right assumed I was using the owner’s tricycle without permission and told me I should respect other people’s property. I rented the tricycle from the owner for a disabled parent. When I told her to mind her own business and leave me alone, she just said “FU” . . . very unnecessary for a neighbor to behave this way, just because she doesn't like having different people next-door every week.
I sat on the porch with my coffee in the morning and watched all the neighbors move their cars off their driveways and park in all the parking spaces in front of their houses, just so beachgoers can’t park anywhere. Their driveways then sit empty all day and people with kids and beach chairs have to drive and walk farther. I asked one of them not to park across the end of (block) our driveway, while I was expecting a disabled parent to arrive. He just said, “that’s ok” and ran into his house to get some things anyway. That’s the neighbor on the left, not the adjoining one.
The rooftop deck is nice, right up until the adjoining neighbor purposefully goes up just to disturb the peace because they know you’re up there relaxing. When you get tired of that you can go sit in the Adirondack chairs out back but the multitude of cameras, of which there are way too many, will be staring back and you and it's creepy. Maybe I’m a bit old-school, but I don’t like cameras on me “at home” (or at a rented home away from home).
We had property go missing from the garage and it was locked when we were not there. It makes you wonder who else may have access.
We’ve stayed all over LBI for decades. When you pay good money to have a nice, relaxing time you really don’t need neighbors trying to make your stay uncomfortable and telling you “FU” when you are minding your own business and not bothering anyone. If they behave that way to your wife or child, will you be having a good vacation? We’ve never experienced a situation like this where neighbors are outwardly obnoxious. Beware.

We are pleased to hear that you found our home comfortable and had positive interactions with both the owner and the realtor, and are very sorry to hear about your experience with the neighbors during your stay. It's important to note that neighbor-related issues have not been reported by any of our previous renters over the past several years, so we are genuinely perplexed as to why this occurred during your family's stay. Regarding your discomfort sitting out back due to the outdoor security cameras, we want to clarify that these cameras are solely for security purposes when the home is vacant. We want our guests to feel at ease during their stay, and the cameras are promptly disabled whenever the property is rented out to respect your privacy. This is also the first we are hearing about anything missing from the garage, and we want to assure you that only the owner and realtor possesses the code necessary to open the garage door, ensuring the security of our guests' belongings. We hope you understand that your experience is not reflective of our usual standards.
We had a wonderful vacation at you’re home! From sunsets at the bay, long days on the beach, evening dinners on the roof deck, and walks with the dog, everything was perfect! Thank you for sharing your home and making it feel like our home for our time there. It was beyond family and pet friendly. We couldn’t ask for more and hope to be back!
Thank you!

I recommend anyone looking to get a summer rental in LBI to take a look at this listing! We just finished our second visit. And we will be going back every year! The house was in walking distance to both Bay beach and Ocean beach, stores, ice cream parlor, restaurants and more all there. And Fantasy island (a fav for my kids) only a 5 min drive!!! The house is gorgeous! It was obvious from the first moment you walk in that the owner took pride and pleasure in decorating the house!! Such a cool house with multiple levels, outside area, multiple decks and roof top deck make just finalizes the perfect LBI house!

The house is really bright and super clean with so many decks and outdoor spaces - we enjoyed the fire pit area out back and every night we timed our evenings to begin with wine and cocktails on the sunset deck! A special part of our stay with sweeping 360 degree views of the bay and a peek of ocean. Plenty of comfortable furniture in every space to enjoy with our crew of 6, plus dog. Grilling deck has a big shade umbrella and huge bar height table for cookouts.
Kitchen has nice, newer appliances and there’s a second fridge in the garage for beer, etc. Water pressure was really good - bathrooms and powder room were nice sized and very clean. Washing machine and dryer were big and newer. This place has all the beach house amenities we could want - including an outside shower.
There’s a lot of stairs in the place leading to different levels (think of a vertical split level house) but that gave us privacy and a chance to “get away” when we wanted a break from the action.
The location was really great - a bank, Wawa, nice restaurants, pizza, donuts, ice cream and gift shops all within a block or two - super convenient to walk to all of it. Beach and bay were a few minutes walk in either direction.
We were 6 adults but a family could easily use this big place - the bonus den with big TV is perfect for a kids play room on a rainy day.
