It may be a tiny slice of LBI living, but it’s a sweet one. Beach Haven Gardens is one of the tiny neighborhoods that was incorporated into Long Beach Township back in the 1800s.

Long Beach Island is a gem of the New Jersey Shore, a throwback to a time before life was so fast paced. Today, Beach Haven Gardens has plenty to offer a family looking for a vacation rental from boating to beach to burritos. This is a favorite area for fishing, home to Escape Harbor Marina and Southwick’s Marina giving great access to the bay.

You’ll also find Howard’s Restaurant in Beach Haven Gardens, owned by the same families for three generations famous for their French fried lobster. And if it’s more updated cuisine you’re after, the same family has El Swell, right on the boulevard, a hip version of authentic beach Mexican food. Grab a burgers from Woodies Too on the Boulevard.

Walkers, joggers and bikers enjoy mornings on Atlantic Ave, which runs along the beach, much safer than Long Beach Boulevard. Beach Haven Gardens also has excellent beaches for swimming and relaxing with surfing, stand up paddleboarding and kayaking allowed outside the swimming areas.
